Soukaina Aboulaoula & Yvon Langué

Soukaina Aboulaoula holds a degree in audiovisual communication from the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Specialists in Rabat, Morocco, and participated in MADRASSA ’17 curatorial training and residency with L’atelier de l’observatoire. Aboulaoula has worked at the Marrakech Museum of Photography and Visual arts and at the Museum of African Contemporary Art. Her duties have included day to day operations of the museum’s projects, coordination of exhibitions, scheduling lectures and panels as well as developing the online strategy for both museums. She is interested in exploring the role of the internet in the process of archiving visual and artistic production, and is currently developing REC.ORD, an ongoing project focusing on restaging the history of North African contemporary art from a non-academic perspective, through local lenses, using audiovisual media.

Yvon Langué has a background in sociology and graphic design. He is fond of the connectedness of ideas and is curious about topics at the crossroads of art, theory and social sciences. Yvon has successively worked as Gallery Manager and Exhibition Assistant at the Marrakech Museum for Photography and Visual Arts, and as Curatorial/Editorial Assistant at Kulte Gallery & Editions (Rabat). He is carrying on an editorial design project dealing with the infographic visualisation of African historiography which he develops as an educator at the Marrakech School of Visual Arts.

He recently curated «MIGRATIONS. RÉCITS. MOUVEMENTS.», a display of migrants’ video works exploring issues of togetherness, displacement, loss, heritage, identity and diversity, with the group Arts for Advocacy, (La Villa des Arts—La Fondation ONA, Rabat).

Aboulaoula and Langué recently co-founded Untitled, an editorial design, art direction and curatorial duo based in Marrakech, Morocco.
