Presentation of the book: "Critique de la notion d'art africain" by Prof. Babacar Mbaye Diop

RAW Material Company invites you to the presentation of the book "Critique de la notion d'art africain" by Professeur Babacar Mbaye Diop on Friday January 25 2019 at 6pm @RAW Material Company sis Zone B, rue sans soleil Villa 2A.

The book presentation will be moderated by Massamba Mbaye, an art critic, curator and counselor.

A few months ago, RAW Material Company held the third edition of its biennial symposium Condition Report: Symposium on African Art History with art professionals and thinkerswho have extensively worked on the topic and on the status of the contemporary art in Africa.

Professor Babacar Mbaye Diop, as one of the invited guests, had shared with us his expertise and his preoccupation about the perception of the notion of African art. His book Critique de la notion d'art africain brings us a more detailed view of his opinion on the subject.

Yves Michaud.
