A 24-year-old photographer and cinematographer, Abderrahmane Ajja graduated from ESAV Marrakech in 2023 with a degree in imaging, where he developed skills in filmmaking, photography and visual storytelling. Passionate about the power of visual storytelling and its social impact, he explores urban and cultural dynamics through his work.
In 2023, he won the Grand Prix Face à la Mer, which gave him the opportunity to attend the Transmission in photojournalism course in France. This experience enabled him to hone his documentary eye and strengthen his ability to tell stories rooted in reality. In this context, he took part in a group exhibition at the Visa pour l'Image festival. Since February 2024, he has been a member of the Hans Lucas collective, working with media and institutions, while asserting his photographic identity.
His approach is based on meticulous aesthetics and attention to detail, seeking to capture the memory of places and individuals while highlighting social mutations and intimate narratives.
Based in Marrakech, he works on both commissions and personal projects, combining and narrative commitment to produce authentic, striking images.
