I am a self-prescribed severe drapetomania patient and an academic nomad with backgrounds in Sociology, International Relations, and Social Work. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms program at Potsdam University. I am also a Humanity in Action Senior Fellow (Berlin, 2021). My research interests span decolonial thought, subaltern studies, Black feminist theory, decolonial ecologies, and critical museum studies.
In 2022, I received a research grant from the Untold Stories | Places of Memory project, creating a short documentary on Human Zoos in Germany. In 2023, I co-curated Dislocation Tuesdays at the Technical University of Berlin under Benedicte Savoy, a lecture series on the dislocation of cultures and museum collections. From 2024, I have worked on a multimedia art project and music album with friends and collaborators, soon to be published. I was a visiting scholar at
Duke University in Winter 2024 and participated in the École Doctorale des Ateliers de la Pensée in Dakar the same year.
I am a researcher, artist, and writer exploring the entanglements of history, displacement, and
belonging.
