In her silk tapestries, Zangewa appears as a triumphant African aware of her roots and completely in tune with her environment.

For the exhibition HOLLANDAISE: a journey into an iconic fabric, Zangewa explored the use of language technology and textile in her environment as a way to navigate through the effects of economic globalization in South Africa. Her works made especially for this exhibition pays tribute to women imaginary figures used to represent collections of Vlisco.
