RAW Academy is an experimental programme for the research and study of artistic and curatorial practice and thought. The program usually takes place in Dakar for 7 weeks but can be deployed outside the city. It is dedicated to a dynamic reflection on artistic research, curatorial practice and critical writing. Originally, two separate sessions were organized each year; today, the rhythm is of one session per year. Each session is directed by a lead faculty who has displayed an off-the-beaten-track practice in regard to art, curating and art criticism.
Session 11 is led by Professor Felwine Sarr in Dakar for a duration of 6 weeks from 4 February to 9 March 2025.
